Privacy Policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

Mauka To Makai Makaha Foundation Inc. respects the families, donors and sponsors who trust us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Parents and guardians: name, email, phone, mailing address, and the parents you invite to your family.
  • Keiki: name, birthdate, age, gender, medical notes, swim and CPR experience, the sessions and days you pick, and the signed waiver.
  • Emergency contacts: the name and phone number you give us.
  • Donors, sponsors and shoppers: name, email, company, phone, shirt sizes, shipping address and payment records. Card details go straight to our payment processor; we never see your full card number.
  • Sign in: if you use Google, Apple or a passkey, we receive only what's needed to sign you in, such as your email.

How we use it

To run the Junior Lifeguard Program and keep keiki safe, confirm registrations, send receipts and reminders, answer questions, thank donors and sponsors, ship orders, and meet our safety, grant and tax reporting duties. Our staff are notified of new registrations, orders and payments so they can follow up.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run the program, such as our payment processor, email delivery and website hosting, and only for that purpose. We may share information with lifeguards or emergency responders if a keiki needs care, or when the law requires it.

SMS and email

If you opt in, we send program updates by email and/or text. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or opt in data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Message content is limited to program updates, reminders and safety alerts. See our SMS Terms.

Saved form entries

Our forms save what you type on your own phone or computer so nothing is lost if you leave the page. This stays on your device and clears once the form is sent. Passwords and card details are never saved this way.

Keiki privacy

Accounts are for adults only. We collect information about children only from their parent or guardian, and only what we need to run the program safely.

Keeping it safe

Your account is protected by sign in, and only you, the parents you invite, and our staff can see your family's details. We keep records as long as needed for the program and our legal duties.

Your choices

You can update your information, or turn off SMS and email updates, at any time from your profile. Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe. To delete your account or get a copy of your information, contact us.
